About Us

Ruth Swart has bred horses his entire life, Friesians, Arabians, but he had never put a foot in the saddle. He was never interested in the "classic" way of riding.

At the age of 38 he saw Henk van Amstel give a western riding demonstration and decided then to take western lessons. During this time in Europe there were VERY few Quarter Horses and most people rode warmbloods or a traditional European horse. However, Ruth's passion was breeding.

If you want to show competitively you have to train daily and frequently travel. But with on average 50+ horses to take care of on the ranch there is little time for serious show training. If you want to be a serious breeder you need to be home. Ruth's specialty is working with the young horses and preparing them for new owners.

Marja Kriboo started riding when she was 6 years old. First on a Shetland pony at the local boarding stable and later on diverse ponies. When she was 18 she bought her first horse and rode dressage and jumped.

She was introduced to the Quarter Horse in 1995 during the exposition "Paard 95". In 1996 she bought the stallion Son Of Cona Beau from Ruth Swart. Ruth and Marja have been together ever since.

With Son of Cona Beau she competed in several reining shows, trail and lately they have participated in a few TREC competitions.

She also shows the mare A Radical Conclusion ( by Justa Tad Rad ) in pleasure, hunter under saddle, trail, horsemanship and showmanship. She trains with all-around trainer Eron Dampier and also enjoys attending clinics.
